One Child

For any hours worked outside my regular schedule, an additional fee of $10 will be applied for every two hours worked. Every infant is an additional $20 on top of the flat rate for overnights. (Overnight prices are subject to change if the parent wishes for the sitter to stay awake)

$27 per hour for one child.

Overnight rate is $175 per night.

Two Children

What are your hours?

Hours of operation vary. I am available 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 5am-5pm. I am available outside of these hours to accommodate families needs. It is not my preference although I do understand we all have requirements and need time out! I cannot always guarantee your time slot may be available. If I am already booked with another family, then I cannot accommodate your hours as well, unless both families choose to share the time. For any hours worked outside my regular schedule, an additional fee of $10 will be applied for every two hours worked.

Could I have more information on parties?

I would be delighted to partake in your child's birthday festivities! Should you wish to engage my services for birthdays or events, I offer tailored rates specifically for birthday parties, that I will list below. Pricing varies upon the number of children requiring supervision. Even if childcare assistance is unnecessary, I would appreciate an invitation to see your child(ren) in a more relaxed setting beyond regular business hours. For events where a client may request the sitter for several children, in order to meet state licensing ratio requirements, a second sitter may needed to be called for assistance. Rates remain the same. Any sitter working for Katie's Babysitting is compensated directly by Katie, and not the family, For events where two families decide to “nanny share”, each family will pay their own rate.

-Party Package 2-4 Children 4-6 hours : $ $275.00 Flat Rate

-Party Package 5-7 Children 2/3 hours : $280.00 Flat Rate

How many children can you watch at one time?

Typically, I supervise no more than six children at once, always adhering to Texas state ratios, and I hire extra staff when necessary.

Transportation/Travel Radius/Per Diem

I am located in Jarrell and willing to travel to all surrounding areas. This includes but is not limited to : Austin, Leander, Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Taylor, Leander, Cedar Park, Belton, Salado, Temple, and Pflugerville. For regular bookings, my service area extends up to 30 miles from Jarrell, Texas, with no additional charges. However, any journey beyond 30 miles (31-45 miles) will incur a daily per diem fee. An extra $20 fee will apply for distances of 31-39 miles, and $25 for distances of 40-45 miles.

I am available to provide transportation for your children to school, extracurricular activities, daytime outings, or any other required errands. Please note that my vehicle currently only has a forward facing car seat installed. Therefore, parents who have backwards facing children, either parents can arrange to install car seats in my car for the day or provide their vehicle for the transportation. I am amenable to either arrangement. For each 15-mile increment when transporting your child in my vehicle, there will be a charge of $10. This translates to $20 for 30 miles and $30 for 45 miles.

How far in advance do I need to book for Katie's Babysitting?

As far as booking with me goes, it really just depends on if I am already pre-booked. Sometimes families book months ahead, and I am already booked, and other times they text me and I am at their house in 20 minutes.. You are always welcome to email me to receive a list of my current availability. I do prefer at least a week or two notice. I do not book more than 5 days for one client, 6 weeks or more in advance.

Does Katie do pet sitting?

I offer pet sitting for dogs only. I am willing to travel up to 20 min from Jarrell, Texas for drop in

Visits to feed, play, and let out your dogs. Each visit is $15 per dog.

I am interested in tutoring. What is that like?

I follow my own curriculum (work in process as of March 2025, set to be finished January 2026) for all of the children I provide care to. Not every session or each child is subject to curriculum components. Tutoring is available at a separate and increased price.

Curriculum Components

-Develop social skills by becoming an integral part of a friendly group and developing sensitivity to the needs of others

-Participate in child-initiated and adult-initiated activities by providing time and opportunity to explore ideas and develop interests in a variety of areas such as art, blocks, music, dramatic play, science, cooking, sports, games and language activities, etc

-Develop personal competencies by learning to make choices, having time to practice new skills and developing positive self-esteem

Tutoring is available to be included in babysitting hours, or seperate bookings may be made for tutoring. Tutoring includes the tutor(sitter) and one child, unless otherwise discussed. Tutoring will have breaks for students who need it, for longer sessions. Prices for tutoring are as follows:

-1 hour is $50.00

-2 hours is $80.00

-3 hours is $115.00

-4 hours is $150

-5 hours $170

I am needing on call services, such as when we have our new baby.

Finding a sitter who can accommodate “on-call” services, especially in preparation for your new arrival, can certainly be challenging. I strive to assist families in situations like this and aim to offer reasonable pricing for my services.

Here are my rates:

**$150 Flat Rate**: Available between 5 AM and 5 PM. During this time frame, I will remain within 40 minutes of your location. Please note that any client I am currently working with will be informed that I must leave immediately should you require my assistance, which may result in last-minute cancellations for them due to the baby’s arrival.
**$200 Flat Rate**: Guaranteed availability at home between 5 AM and 5 PM.
**$250 Flat Rate**: Includes availability from 5 AM to 5 PM, as well as after-hours.

If I am available and not booked, I will respond promptly to your call. You also have the option to pay my standard hourly rate for the time needed and hire me for that week or more. The more notice I receive, the better I can accommodate your needs. Please be aware that if you request my services for several “on-call” days and your baby arrives earlier than anticipated, a cancellation fee of $100 per day will apply instead of the full “on-call” rate.

As we approach your due date, my availability may become more limited and can vary significantly. While I often have last-minute openings, there are times when I may be fully booked for weeks. So please do reach out urgently with any requests as soon as you know of them yourself.

Once we get closer to your expected date, I will add you to my emergency contacts on both my personal and business phones. I will also share my personal number with you for any inquiries at any time of day or night.

I hope we can make this arrangement work! It has been a privilege to care for so many toddlers while their mothers welcome new life. It brings me happiness to know I can support in such a way.
