Hello! I’m Katie. Allow me to share a bit about my journey. I started my own babysitting business driven by my deep passion for childcare, with the aspiration of eventually running my own small daycare.
Previously, I worked as a Preschool Teacher, a role I cherished immensely. I formed strong bonds with my kids and truly adored them. However, I often felt constrained by numerous restrictions. I longed for the freedom to explore, engage in activities, and even enjoy relaxing days in the cozy comfort of their homes.
The connections I build with the children I care for daily inspire me deeply. That’s why I’ve decided to fully commit to Katie's Babysitting LLC!
Meet and Greets are essential prior to booking my services, so please keep this in mind when making last-minute requests. These meetings can be conducted either virtually or in person, at your home or in a public setting such as a park, library, or coffee shop. While the presence of children is not mandatory, it is advisable to include them to help them feel more comfortable with future care arrangements.
If we have previously met, a Meet and Greet is unnecessary. To move forward with scheduling one, please navigate to the "Questionnaires and Parent Handbook" section at the top of the page and complete the "I'm Interested in Katie's Babysitting" form. This will provide me with insight into your availability and some background information about your children, allowing me to prepare effectively for our meeting. I will reach out to you within 48 hours of you completing the form.
Today, I am thrilled to be the owner of a small but expanding business. I hold my babysitting certification, and I worked to obtain my LLC in January 2025! With time, my business will continue to flourish, nurtured by the love and support it has already received. I take pride in my current achievements, as I am truly following my heart.
I graduated from high school with multiple scholarship offers in Information Technology, Networking, Programming, and Computer Science (can you believe it?!). However, I chose to turn down those opportunities to pursue online college in early childhood education instead!
Within the next six months, my goal is to hire staff and really kickstart my business! - Updated January 2025!

Creating a Nurturing Environment for Children
I am dedicated to offering a warm, nurturing, fun, and safe environment for every child in my care. My experience spans all age groups, starting from as young as 5 or 6 weeks, and I am flexible with the starting age. I have been involved in childcare since I was 15, accumulating nearly 8 years of experience. My journey began by babysitting my cousins during the years leading up to the coronavirus pandemic, continuing through remote schooling and a year beyond. During this time, I witnessed their growth and success, which taught me responsibility and ignited my passion for childcare.
Upon turning 18, I began working in a licensed facility as an assistant teacher. Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to lead teacher and spent nearly two years in this role just outside Albany, New York. Leaving that position was challenging, but I relocated to the Round Rock, Texas area, ready for a new opportunity in another licensed facility. In Georgetown, I worked at two schools, cherishing every moment spent with the children. As a lead teacher, I managed classrooms with over 20 children at times.
However, the lack of flexibility and the curriculum I didn’t agree with eventually took its toll, leading me to step away from the classroom. I transitioned into a leadership role at the front desk, collaborating with other leaders to manage the school as a whole. While opportunities were limited, I realized that my unique approach to teaching and growing with children was something I wanted to pursue independently through my own business.
As my business, Katie’s Babysitting, began to take off in January 2024, I also substituted at local daycares around the Austin area. This experience was invaluable; while I loved spending time with the children, I observed some teachers who approached their roles as a job rather than a passion like myself, which was disheartening. After just two months, I transitioned to running Katie’s Babysitting full-time. Since then, I have been busy nearly every day, sometimes working up to 80 hours a week. I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate to engage in this work every day.
After moving to Texas from New York, I established Katie's Babysitting LLC and have frequently cared for a diverse range of children. I actively support children with special needs and accommodations. As of May 2025, I have worked with over 60 children, and I hold certifications in CPR and First Aid, as well as being an American Red Cross Certified Babysitter. Additionally, I have completed over 150 hours of coursework and hold a Child Development Associate credential.
